Franchesca Isla is a mother, author, award-winner, nominee, and accredited social worker with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (majoring in Counselling) and a Master of Social Work. She is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers, through which she maintains her professional accreditation.

Valuing the power of storytelling, Franchesca fosters thoughtful dialogue and safe conversation through her work with Bully Zero and as an ambassador for MIEACT. Regularly sharing her insights through writing and public speaking, she collaborates with organisations across Australia to support conversations around mental health, behaviour, and recovery.

Grounded in trauma-informed practice, Franchesca supports individuals navigating a variety of challenges, offering expertise in counselling and case management for victim-survivors of abuse. In her therapeutic work, she gently guides clients from asking “What is wrong with me?” toward the transformative understanding of “That is what happened to me.” Franchesca hopes that by witnessing their pain and providing practical everyday strategies, clients can develop greater self-compassion and take positive steps toward healing.
