Franchesca Isla is a mother, author, award-winner, nominee, and accredited Social Worker with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (majoring in Counselling) and a Master of Social Work. She is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers, through which she maintains her professional accreditation.

Valuing the power of storytelling, Franchesca fosters thoughtful dialogue and safe conversation through her work with Bully Zero and as an ambassador for MIEACT. Regularly sharing her insights through writing and public speaking, she collaborates with organisations across Australia to advance conversations around mental health, behaviour, and recovery. With a foundation in trauma-informed practice, Franchesca supports community services and frontline professionals in understanding the complex dynamics of violence-affected relationships.

Her therapeutic approach fosters a shift from the question, “What is wrong with me?” to the empowering understanding, “This is what happened to me.” By acknowledging pain and providing practical tools, Franchesca nurtures self-compassion and encourages meaningful progress toward healing.
